Myanmar Football Teams Of Both Genders Reach Semis At SEA Games

Myanmar audiences have once again had chance to watch the national football teams at the semifinal at 32nd Southeast Asian Games no matter what the country has been trapped in the crisis for more than two years.
U-22 men national football team survived and reaches the semifinal after it beats the Philippine 1-0 on Wednesday night at Smart RSN Stadium, Phnom Penh.
As the matter of fact, the Myanmar team was pressured by the referee in the match time as one was shown the red card. However, the final result was a conquer over Philippine.
The U-22 men will be playing at the semi on May 13.
On the other hand, Myanmar women team will play with Thai tomorrow (May 12) at the semifinal spot since it succeeded with a big win over Malaysia by 5-1 on May 9.
Many Myanmar fans cherish both teams to see at the semis in this time of politically harsh and the opposition group boycotts the teams since both teams played the matches not only with the spirit of sport but also, it is obviously observed, with the national spirit.
