Myanmar, China discuss on implementation of Single Window System at border gates

Myanmar and China discussed on the Single Window System to be installed at the gates located in border regions, as per reports.

Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Commerce Aung Naing Oo met with the authorities from General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) at the Haigeng Garden Convention Center in Kunming, China on 21st May.

Both sides held the bilateral talk to increase the production of Myanmar agricultural products and to promote export to Chinese market. They also discussed on the promotion of value-added agricultural products and cultivation of poppy substitute crops in bilateral cooperative manners.

Moreover, matters relating to getting approval from GACC while exporting fishery products, agricultural produce, and livestock products from Myanmar to China were also discussed.

In addition, the bilateral discussions also took place on the topic of the establishment of Single Window system at the border areas with the use of technical assistance.

From the meeting, the Yunnan provincial government made the commitment to donate 500,000 Chinese Yuan to the storm victims in Myanmar.
