6 injured in Kyaikhto in heavy weapon explosion

Six unarmed civilians, including three minors, were wounded in explosion by artillery shelling in Kyaikhto, Mon State.

The incident happened on May 31 at an estimated 12:30 pm in Hlelanku Village located in Kyaikhto, according to a source from the Mon State Government.

The artillery fired by the terrorists landed and exploded on the house owned by a villager namely Saw Tun. Two adult men, one adult woman and three children were wounded in the terrorist incident.

“The incident happened in Kyaikhto’s Hlelanku Village. It was exploded by the heavy weapons launched by the terrorists in the village,” a source from Mon State Government told NP News.

Six villagers namely Saw Tun (33 years old), Tun Tun Lin (37 years old), Win Sandar Myint (30 years old), Myint Myat Lin (13 years old), Thein Pite Soe San (15 years old), and Yoon Yati Tun (6 years old) were wounded in the incident.
