India, Thai urge Myanmar’s stakeholders to follow NCA charter for peace

NAYPYIDAW - Myanmar's neighbouring countries India and Thailand urged stakeholders in Myanmar to follow the charters of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) since the NCA is the only contract leading to peace.

The representatives from India and Thailand attended the 8th Anniversary of Signing NCA held at the Myanmar International Convention Center II (MICC-II) in Naypyidaw yesterday and made speeches in honor as the international witnesses.

The Deputy National Security Advisor Mr. Victram Misari made a speech, "The NCA is not just an agreement signed on paper, but it is also a ray of hope for all Myanmar citizens who want to establish a country free from violence and conflict, where all citizens living in Myanmar can live together in peace."

Similarly, the Deputy Minister of Thailand's Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow also urged to follow the NCA by making a speech that the reconciliation and discussions by Myanmar’s own ways should be conducted to achieve the peace.

The 8th Anniversary of Signing NCA was attended by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing along with relevant high rank officials and former chairman of KNU Saw Mutu Say Poe including the chairman of RCSS General Yawd Serk and representatives of DKBA, PNLO, ABSDF, ALP, NMSP and LDU.

As the international witnesses, the representatives from Korea, Laos, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia and Bangladesh attended.
