Nearly 200,000 flowers set to display at Pyin Oo Lwin Flower Festival

Pyin Oo Lwin Flower Festival will be held on December 16 and will display with nearly two hundred thousand flowers in eight zones, according to an official from National Kandawgyi Garden.

The 16th Pyin Oo Lwin Flower Festival will be held for a month commencing from December 16 to January 16 and the opening ceremony will be held on December 17.


A total of 40 species are projected to display at the event.


“This is the 16th festival and will be displaying in eight zones. The festival will be held for a month from December 16 to January 16. The opening ceremony will be held on December 17. This year, nearly two hundred thousand flowers will be displayed by 8 zones in which nearly 40 flower species included,” an official from National Kandawgyi Garden told NP News.


In addition, the festival will be included the booths displayed with regional commodities, foods and consumer goods.


Also, entertainment programs will perform as previous years and there will be special programs for New Year and Independent day including Christmas.
