SAC Chairman calls for practical solutions, rejects unilateral demands from EAOs
Htet Nadi (NP News) - March 15

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC), said that EAOs (Ethic Armed Organizations) should not only say what they want to happen, but also say what should and can happen, and that they should not be given the opportunity to do so.
The Myanmar delegation, headed by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who effectively enhanced ties and collaboration with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, left Novosibirsk, Russia, on March 9 at noon local time. During an exclusive interview with the media aboard the special flight, the SAC Chairman shared the aforementioned comments.
"We are genuinely prepared to collaborate. What I want to convey to the EAOs is: don’t just focus on expressing your desires. It’s more productive to discuss what can be done and what is achievable. Everyone has aspirations, and I have many of my own. However, not all of my desires may be fulfilled. It is better to concentrate on what should be done and what is possible. We have stated that we will grant democratic and ethnic rights. If we look around the world, everyone is entitled to fair rights. One-sided privileges cannot be granted. I want to stress that it’s crucial to consider the interests of the ethnic groups," said the SAC Chairman.
He further stated that the interests of ethnic groups have been prioritized, and they are committed to providing the necessary support. Regardless of the challenges, the government will focus on assisting all ethnic regions that have been neglected, ensuring that these issues are addressed to the best of their abilities.
The SAC Chairman emphasized, "We have already made a political decision. Politically, we have chosen to move towards a multi-party democracy, as the people have demanded. To implement this, we need cooperation on one hand, and internal peace on the other. Therefore, the Russian President has expressed Russia’s willingness to support Myanmar, and similarly, Belarusian President Lukashenko has pledged full cooperation and support for Myanmar. This support is a source of strength for us and our country."
"If we look at this crossroads, heading south takes us to the Indian Ocean, north through China to Russia, west to India, and southeast to all ASEAN countries. No country has better opportunities than Myanmar. Whether establishing economic activities or transiting through Myanmar, one can access this vast market. This is a tremendous advantage," said the SAC Chairman and Prime Minister.
He also highlighted that Myanmar will not abandon its focus on agriculture, livestock, and future science and technology. These sectors are the foundation for industrial development and scientific progress, which will enable the integration of both low and high technologies. Therefore, he emphasized, cooperation with other nations will bring significant benefits to Myanmar.
