Reports of terror threats, bomb attacks, fire ablaze to schools within six days across country

Almost 20 terror attacks on schools, teachers, and students occur within six days (from June 15 to 20).
This is the summarized report on terror crimes committed to schools, teachers, and students or security staff by sending threatening letters or bomb attacks, gun violence, arson attacks, or even murder based on the data released between June 15 and 19, according to the statements that are released daily by the State Administration Council (SAC).
At an estimated 4 pm on June 15, terrorists came to Basic Education High School of Myogon Village located in Shwegu Township, Kachin State while the school guard Myo Tun was there. The terrorists forcibly took school buildings’ keys, seven white/blackboards, and fifty sets of desks and chairs, according to the statement by the SAC.
At an estimated 1:15 pm on June 15, two terrorists dropped a hand grenade into the school compound of No. 8, Basic Education High School located in Kalaymyo, Sagaing Region. The grenade exploded near the school gate.
On June 15, a member of people's militia from Ywagan, Shan State was shot to kill in a teashop by terrorists. The victim was a voluntary school guard at a high school located in Ywagan Township.
At an estimated 3:15 pm on June 15 again, two terrorists dropped a hand grenade into the school compound of Kyatpyin Myomayat high school located in Mogok Township, Mandalay Region. The grenade blasted near the house of the school guard in front of the school compound. Again at 3:30 pm, another grenade was thrown and exploded near the office of the headmaster destroying the windows of the office.
On June 16, a hand bomb was found near the office of the Township education officer of Homalin, Sagaing Region in the early morning. Tatmadaw’s counter-insurgency forces were reported a finding of the grenade and investigated and cleared the threat.
According to statement released on June 17, bombing and arson attacks at schools occur in Yangon Region, Tanintharyi Region, and Chin State.
On June 16, a suspected plastic bag was found in front of No. 4, Basic Lower Secondary School of North Okkalap Township, Yangon at an estimated 10:20 am. Counter-insurgency forces of the Defense Services investigated the scene and found two hand-made bombs made by PVC pipe connected with a keypad phone and a battery. The counter-insurgency forces inactivated the bomb.
On June 15, it was reported to the authority that twenty armed terrorists torched the basic education high school located in Matupi Township, Chin State in the evening. As per the crime report, the counter-insurgency forces went to investigate. The terrorists run away into the valley located northeast of the school. The arson attack committed by the terrorists destroyed one office room, one store room, one slide of a window, one printer, one photocopier, six carpets, exercise books, a tarpaulin, and documents.
Schools from Naypyidaw, Mon State, and Ayeyawady Region were blasted and received threatening letters, according to the statement released on June 18.
On June 17, the lower secondary school located in Ottara Thiri Township, Naypyidaw Union Territory received a threatening letter that says ‘Warning to two female teachers; Students are urged to stay away from school’.
On June 17, a bomb blast occurred at a high school located in Ingapo Village, Kyaikhto Township, Mon State. In the incident, the hand-made bomb blasted in the backyard of a three-storied building destroying the ceilings and doors of the school building.
Again on June 17, the primary school located in Pitetan Village, Wakhema Township, Ayeyawady Region received a threatening letter that says ‘We will kill each and every school teacher (both male and female). Close the school immediately. Otherwise, we will kill all students.’
On June 19, Chin National Defense Forces (CNDF) kidnapped the principal and three assistant lecturers from Lonpee Agricultural Science School in Chin State, according to the locals.
Five CNDF members abducted the principle Ohnmar Kyaw and three assistant lecturers; the armed insurgents also took one automobile, two motorbikes, and one generator, the source said. The three victims were told and threatened to join the civil disobedience movement and were later released by the CNDF.
On June 20, a threatening poster in red paint was hung up on the façade of a high school in Moekaung Township, Kachin State. The poster says ‘Make effort to free from BLOODSHED EDUCATION’. Together with the poster, a school uniform splashed in red paint was also hung at the school entrance. The entranceway to school was also spattered with red paint.
Two educational staff from Maungdaw, Rakhine State is still missing until seven days.
A drone attack on the basic education post-primary school located in Tdeetaw Village, Shwebo, Sagaing Region occurred on June 9 damaging the school buildings.
A sad truth is schools, teachers, and students became subjected to intimations, life threats, and terror attacks in Myanmar’s so-called ‘Revolution or Resistance to Military Government’.
