Second time of series of peace meeting between the Army Chief and the leaders of ethnic armed groups will be held at the end of this month.

Delegations from RCSS/SSA, NMSP, KNU/KNLA-PC, UWSA, NDAA, ALP, PNLO, LDU, DKBA, and SSPP separately met with Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the peace delegation team in recent months.

SAC’s spokesperson Major General Zaw Min Tun told NP News, “We are planning for the meeting either at the end of this month or the beginning of next month. Meetings might be held separately or a plenary session or might be both.”

Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing invited the leaders of ethnic armed groups to discuss peace for terminating armed conflicts in the country.

Delegations from both sides have signed the covenant mainly to build the Union based on democracy and federalism and to practice multi-party election system.

“We will meet with the EAO’s delegations a second time. I also invite the EAOs that did not attend the peace talk. I urge the EAOs to discuss and demand what they really require for their ethnic regions and people. I recommend to join the lawful political platform,” Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said.

On the other hand, troops between Defense Services and EAOs exchange firing in ethnic territories.
