“United States’ visit to Taiwan in recent months much resents China’s One-China Policy,” Chairman of the State Administration Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services of Myanmar Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said at an interview with the Russian media on a sideline of the Eastern Economic Forum.
“The American acknowledges China’s One-China Policy, in fact. American officials’ subsequent visits to Taiwan following sparked the fire,” he said.
As a matter of fact, the United States recognizes the People's Republic of China as the sole legal government of China that the Taiwan Strait maintains there but as a part of China.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing continued, “We noticed that the American either supported or sold weapons and ammunitions to Taiwan following the disputes over trips.”
“Manufacturing military equipment is one of the key businesses of the US,” he remarked.
Selling the reserve munitions will make the production of new military equipment; it is a simple market strategy.
“In Ukraine crisis, they create problems first; then they support military equipment,” said Senior General continuing, “When they support their reserve ammunitions, after all, they have to produce new batches of the military equipment; then, the prophecy of the war is changed. Everyone who knows the nature of war understands this,” he said.
The Naypyidaw Administration mentioned in August its continuous support of China’s One-China principle regarding regional affairs.
“Myanmar understands that Pelosi’s sudden visit to Taiwan is definitely violating China’s One-China policy. Her visit may impact the stability of regional countries,” Major General Zaw Min Tun said during the press conference held in August.
Bolstering ties with Russia on one hand, Myanmar deeply values and respects its immediate neighbors, especially China and India, in an aspect of being strategic partners or culturally associated since centuries ago.
