Sangha en route for reciting Paṭṭhāna bombed to death in Pakokku

A motor vehicle which carried four Sangha (Buddhist monks) who were reciting Paṭṭhāna was attacked with bomb in Pakokku, Magwe Region.

The incident happened on 16th October at an estimated 2:30 pm near Pakokku-Myitchay-Seikphyu Highway, according to a local resident.

“The monks are from Aleteik Sarsanawuntha Monastery in Pakokku. They were attacked with bomb on their way to recite Paṭṭhāna at the village down the river. A monk died and another one is in critical situation. The rest others were injured,” the local resident told NP News.
