Myanmar reports increasing Covid in October; over 7,000 new confirmed

There are a total of 7,279 new cases of Covid-19 including 16 expired cases within 20 days from 1st to 22nd October, according to the statistics released by the Ministry of Health.

Researchers, based on the information released by the Health Ministry, say that 80.9 percent of the death from 1st January to 15th October from Covid-19 weren’t vaccinated at all or failed to receive the full dose of vaccination.

In fact, there were 7,954 confirmed cases with 21 expiring in September.

The MOH announcement on 22nd October of the Covid new cases was 262 new confirmed; with 2.34 percent of infectious detection.

The MOH is offering vaccination to the public above five years old free of charge, and booster vaccinations are also being offered by the ministry FOC to ages above 12.

Authorities announced that a total of 100,000 vials of Pfizer and syringes arrived at the Yangon International Airport by flight TG-303 on 21st October.
