Almost 20 public servants killed in terror attacks while serving national duties

Electric Power Stations, Sub-stations, and National Grids were sabotaged more than 200 times across the country, wherein almost 20 civil servants were killed by the terrorists in the #terror plots while the public servants were conducting repairing works, according to the data released by the Ministry of Electric Power.
The Ministry of Electric Power released the statement on November 30.
An engineer who served the country in the electricity distribution sector was assassinated on November 29 in Kyaikhto township, Mon State by terrorists, reports say.
On November 28, the 230 KV Nyaung Pin Gyi- Chaung Kuu Power Grid was sabotaged with heavy weapons by the #terrorists resulting in several hours of electricity blackout in 13 townships.
According to the ministry’s statement, the terrorists threatened the life of the staff and robbed money on November 28 at the 20.54 MW gas engine power plant in Kyunn Chaung, Magwe Region. Therefore, foreign workers left the working site. Then, the factory’s functions and operations terminated.
Altogether 24 times of assassinations occurred targeting the public staff working under the Ministry of Electric Power. Again, a total of 209 times of sabotages at the power plants, sub-power stations, offices, and staff housings occurred, the statement said.
In addition, a total of 48 National Grids and 49 electricity distribution posts were exploded across the country.
The ministry also disclosed that a total of 19 civil servants were killed and 56 others were wounded in the repairing processes of the destructed towers.
