Home EV Chargers arrived for EV Cars

The Ministry of Commerce released the news that Home #EV_Chargers have been imported to Myanmar.

These Home EV Chargers were imported from Chin Dwin Shan Co., Ltd. and that company has imported 5 sets of 7KW GB AC Chargers for electronic vehicles.

The imported chargers arrived at the harbor on 21st February. Since they are for home use, the EV cars can easily be charged at home.

To promote the development of local electronic vehicles, the EV chargers import has tax exemption from government.

For the time being, in Naypyidaw, Yangon and Mandalay, the EV Charging Stations are under installation process along Yangon-Mandalay highway. It is reported that it will cost 400 kyats per unit to charge EV cars.

The SAC announced that there will be altogether 13 EV Charging Stations in Yangon and Mandalay and the installation of EV charging stations will be conducted in altogether 38 petrol stations.
