Russia, Myanmar discuss to establish pharmaceutical council

As per the information released by the State Administration Council (SAC), discussions were made between the two countries for the establishment of the #Myanmar_Russia_Pharmaceutical_Council.
Officials from the Ministry of Health and pharmaceutical and related products manufacturers held a video conference with officials of the Russia’s Chemrar High-Tech Center Company on February 24.
The two sides reportedly discussed planning to supply drugs, medicines and test/treatment items to Myanmar for the Covid-19; and issue related to registration and FDA approval. Also, processes of technology transferring in the production of pharmaceutics and medicines were also discussed.
The plan to develop a Russian-Myanmar Pharmaceutical Council is intended to conduct cooperation between the related ministries, authorities, pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors and physicians and practitioners through dialogue framework.
In the EEF that was held in Vladivostok in September 2022, the Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khine Win discussed to cooperate in Myanmar’s medical sector advancement including sending apprentices to Russia.
