Political parties including NDF apply for registration

One of the mainland political parties, National Democratic Force Party (NDF), which was founded by former National League for Democracy’s 2010 Central Executive Committee members, and three other parties applied for party registrations at the Union Election Commission (UEC).

National Political Alliance League, Inn National League Party, Kokang Democracy and Unity Party (KKDUP) and National Democratic Force Party (NDF) applied registration and renewing under Section 3 and 25 respectively.

On March 22, the UEC accepted application of newly established political party named National Interests Development Party as per the provision of Section 3 of the #Political_Parties_Registration_Law.

Therefore, there are a total of 38 political parties at the time being that have submitted applications for party registrations and renewing before three days left to the deadline, according to the data released by the UEC.

Among 38 political parties, nine of them will run for the election at the Union level while 29 remaining will run for state and region levels.

Last date for the parties’ registrations will be on March 28, as per the authorities. Therefore, those political parties that fail to submit applications for registrations of party establishment and renewing will be annulled in their legal statuses.
