Domestic NLDs who seeks chance to meet with Suu Kyi reportedly denied by her

#Aung_San_Suu_Kyi, the former State Counselor, reportedly refused to meet with members of the #National_League_for_Democracy who are living in domestic and seeking ways to meet with her.

As per information, Suu Kyi wasn’t interested to meet and talk with the domestic NLD members.

The domestic NLDs made attempts, via State Administration Council, to have chance for chatting and discussing with Suu Kyi within March 20 and 25 for the sake of the NLD party’s legally existence in the future.

Reports said the State Administration Council accepted their request to meet with Suu Kyi, some of them (domestic NLDs who try to have opportunities to meet with Suu Kyi) confirmed NP News.

“We tried to meet with her for the future of the party. The SAC reported our message to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. However, we were rejected to meet with her by herself,” a reliable source confirmed NP News today (March 27).

At present, some NLD’s top rank leaders including Aung San Suu Kyi (the Chairperson) and Win Myint (Vice-chair) are detained and prisoned. However, others including Han Thar Myint and Khin Htay Kywal who are also regarded as the top leaders of the NLD aren’t detained and are living freely at their homes.

The Union Election Commission enacted the new law for Political Parties Registration in late January 2023. As per the newly enacted law, political parties have chances to submit applications for party registrations within sixty days effective from the date of the law enforcement.

Tomorrow (March 28) is the last date for the political parties to renewing or applying for the registration. Those political parties that fail to register within the abovementioned sixty days will automatically annulled their legal statuses in accordance with the laws and the bylaws.

As of March 27, there are a total of 52 political parties, including 26 ethnic parties, have applied for both party establishment and renewing the registrations.
