Migrants attempting to cross border educated and banned by authorities

Myanmar authorities are conducting knowledge sharing about #human_trafficking, as part of the public awareness program, to the Myanmar migrants who are attempting to cross the border for job opportunities through fake employment. The attempted migrants were sent back to their towns by authorities and police, according to Police Major General Zin Min Htet.

The Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Home Affairs, Police Major General Zin Min Htet, said that “Conducting effective operations and education at the checkpoints in related borders of States and Regions can stop human trafficking and smuggling.”

Many Myanmar nationals try to go to the neighbouring countries in the region for seeking employment opportunities.

Also, on the other hand, foreigners enter Myanmar through the borderlines as they were seduced to get great jobs with high salaries in Myanmar’s territories, according to the Chief Police.

As per information, they were deceived through the internet will get a job related to IT and computers in Myanmar, especially in self-administered zones.

Those foreigners entered Myanmar through the borderlines instead of international airports and other legally existing border gates.
