120-MWPower Plant in Magwe expected to generate electricity in coming December

The Union Minister for Electric Power urged the relevant departments to be able to run the power plant with combination system of Solar power and natural gas that is situated near the Magwe Region before the designated date.

The Union Minister for Electric Power, Thaung Han, visited the power station on 1st April and addressed it.

That solar and natural gas hybrid power plant is ongoing process of construction on 490-acre wide land located near Tha Byay Sann Village in Magwe Township in Magwe Region.

As per information, with 120 MW capacity, the hybrid power plant is projected to feed 132 KV electricity to the national grid through Magwe Power Distribution Station.

The abovementioned power plant project with the 120 MW of electricity failed to distribute #electricity as per target date, the Union Minister said.

The Union Minister also notified that the ministry is ready to make coordination to any challenge while conducting the projects in order to meet the standardized quality.
