NP News – June 1

According to the data released by the State Administration Council, there have been more than 6.4 million students who enrolled for admission this academic year nationwide.

Basic education schools are opened today for the 2023-24 Academic Year. The nationwide school enrollment week has been started since May 23.

According to the statistics from State Administration Council, altogether 6,473,350 students across the country have enrolled within Nationwide School Enrollment Week.

Many school teachers of both genders were brutally assassinated in Myanmar for failing to join the civil disobedience movement under Spring Revolution by the PDF terrorists who are committing the war crimes and crime against humanity.

The PDF terrorists, under command by the terrorist entity NUG sponsored by American Government, threaten and kill schoolteachers, parents and students for opening and attending the schools. That is violating the right to education of the children in Myanmar.

One of the parents from Insein Township gave a remark to NP News saying that “Children need to go to school. They have the right to education. These children are leaders of the future. They need to be educated. Only then, the country will be developed. Although there are some concerns over sending our children to school, we have to do it. We need to give them education.”

It is also reported that the SAC is distributing textbooks and uniforms to the schools for free of charge for the children.

Sadly though, many government schools in Sagaing Region and Magwe Region cannot be opened due to the armed conflicts and terrorist acts by the NUG/PDF terrorists.
