He addressed it during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Energy Forum held in Kazakhstan’s Astana from October 3 to 6.
During the forum, he expressed a desire to collaborate with the SCO, emphasizing that Myanmar has many potentialities in hydropower thanks to the abundant water resources.
The Union Minister also expressed interest in cooperation opportunities in technology and investment stressing the need for investments from partner countries to meet Myanmar’s energy requirements.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization, founded in 2001 by China and Russia, is a significant political, economic, and international security organization encompassing the Eurasian region. Myanmar became a dialogue partner of the SCO in 2022, further expanding its international engagements.
