Myanmar invites investors from Yunnan to boost country’s economy

According to the chairman of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) Aye Win, Myanmar invites investors from Yunnan to grow the country’s economy.

The UMFCCI chairman made the invitation during the event of Yunnan-Myanmar economic cooperation and promoting trade at the UMFCCI on 17th October.

The chairman Aye Win highlighted to invest in energy sector, saying that “I would like to invite to invest in the energy sector of Myanmar and other industries. The role of the YPGCC (Yunnan Provincial General Chamber of Commerce) is also important to promote the economic collaboration.”

The YPGCC chairman Dr. Gao Feng reiterated that they will improve the quality of the Myanmar-China Economic Corridor and cooperate in sectors such as energy and mineral sectors, natural disaster reduction, tourism, and poverty reduction.

He added that it is expected that the industrial and entrepreneur in Yunnan Province will be brought so that business and trade cooperation between Yunnan and Myanmar will reach a higher level.

Myanmar is Yunnan Province's largest trading partner and has the largest share of import and export.
