Illegal Bengali aliens seized in Thanphyuzayat, Mon State

The Mon State Government stated that over 100 Bengali aliens who entered the country illegally have been seized on 24 January morning in Thanphyuzayat Township, Mon State.

The official from the Mon State Government said, “There are 117 persons in total. They were seized while the authorities inspected the vehicles at the checkpoint. At present, interrogation is being carried out.”

There involved 59 males and 58 females, altogether 117, the report states.

In August 2023, over 140 Bengali aliens were also captured on the Ye-Thanphyuzayat Road in Mon State.
