A reliable source from Pakokku informed NP New that the majority of social welfare organizations in the town are reportedly supporting PDF terrorists.
In Pakokku, where PDFs are known to abduct, rob, and extort businesses, humanitarian support under the guise of charity is allegedly being provided to these terrorists.
“I don’t want to mention their names for my own security. There have been incidents where charity vehicles were attacked and shot at. These incidents are not simple. In our township, nine out of ten charities are indirectly assisting them. These charity vehicles carry rice bags and cooking oil, pretending they were attacked and shot at,” said a Pakokku resident.
This means that charity vehicles purchase food supplies in town and transport them to PDF-controlled areas under the guise of humanitarian aid. After reaching a predetermined location, these vehicles are reportedly "seized" by the PDFs, although they are actually handed over. The PDFs then release the humanitarian workers, claiming to respect human rights.
Some charity workers have frequently faced deadly violence in Pakokku Township, while others continue to work safely. The source suggested that there are connections between some charity workers and PDFs, with the latter being informed about daily activities in town. There is a need to consider the hidden links between PDFs and some charity workers behind certain abductions and killings.
