Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to depart for China

Chairman of the State Administration Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing scheduled to depart for China to attend the 8th Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) and related regional meetings in Kunming, People’s Republic of China on 6-7 November, Information Team of the SAC released an announcement.
Senior General will also attend the 10th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit and the 11th Cambodia-Laos PDR-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Summit.
According to the announcement of the Information Team, the Senior General will also meet with the higher officials of the PRC during his official visit to discuss bilateral cooperation in economic and various sectors to promote bilateral government-to-government and people-to-people ties.
This is the first official visit of the Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to China after the 2021 political transition.
