According to the spokesperson of the State Administration Council Major General Zaw Min Tun, China is continuing to contribute assistance to Myanmar for development in socio-economic advancement.
Major General Zaw Min Tun addressed the abovementioned statement in a media briefing on November 10 at the airport in Naypyidaw.
The high-level delegation of Myanmar led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing conducted an official visit to China from 5 to 10 November.
During the visit, the Senior General met with Chinese businesspersons and discussed investments in Myanmar. He also visited the exhibition of agricultural machinery and technologies, drone technologies, and many displays related to economic growth and development.
Major General Zaw Min Tun said, “Regarding the business and economics, we have met with the business people who are interested in investing in Myanmar, in Kunming and Chongqing. It was successful. Many people are interested in investing in Myanmar and eager to engage in business.”
It is also anticipated that the projects involved in the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor (CMEC) and the Belt and Road Initiatives will also be further expanded and implemented in Myanmar soon, Major General Zaw Min Tun said.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang asserted on 6 November in the bilateral talk with Senior General Min Aung Hlaing that the CMEC construction is a top priority project, and it will continue to be implemented with increased momentum.
