China to provide necessary assistance for Myanmar’s upcoming election

Deng Xijun, the Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, arrived in Naypyidaw and held discussions on ways to accelerate bilateral cooperation.
He met with Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe on March 10 and Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on March 11.
During the meetings, both sides explored ways to further strengthen the long-standing Swe Myo Pauk Phaw relations between Myanmar and China and accelerate mutually beneficial cooperation, as stated by the MOFA.
In the meeting with Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Deng Xijun highlighted that China will be constructively collaborating with Myanmar in the implementation of election, in the peace-process, in combating against drugs, telecom frauds, and border trades.
In the meeting with Foreign Minister U Than Swe, the two sides discussed continued cooperation to promote peace and stability along the Myanmar-China border area, the latest developments in Myanmar’s internal peace and national reconciliation process, and China’s ongoing positive support for Myanmar's efforts toward lasting peace and socio-economic development.
They also addressed promoting collaboration between relevant organizations in both countries to combat the growing online gambling and fraud networks in the border area, as well as supporting each other on regional and international issues, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. –
