PDFs prohibit earthquake-hit Grade 12 students not to retake matriculation exam

It was reported that on the morning of June 16, the parents of nine students from Kalartae Village, who were sitting for the matriculation exam at the Basic Education High School (Branch) in Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region, were threatened by PDF terrorists after the Myanmar language exam. As a result, the students discontinued the exam and returned to their hometown.
The students from Kalartae Village, BEHS (Branch), were staying in No. (1) Ward, Nyaung-U Township, to sit for the matriculation exam. However, their parents were reportedly threatened by PDF members. As a result, the parents took six students; Ma Khin Thethtar, Ma Jue Jue Su Hlaing, Ma Toe Ei Wai, Ma Yamin Thu, Ma Mya Mya Thet, and Mg Chan Myae Aung back to their village. However, with the coordination of relevant officials and security forces, all nine students including the remaining three students Mg Arkar Chan Myae Kyaw, Mg Tun Naing Lin, and Mg Tin Oo Hlaing were able to sit for the Myanmar language exam on the morning of June 16.
Nevertheless, the parents of the nine students were threatened again by PDF terrorists, prompting them to return to their village without continuing the matriculation exam.
It has been reported that the terrorists who threatened the parents of the above-mentioned students are under investigation, and security forces are taking necessary measures to ensure regional stability.
