Arakan Army has not conducted a formal meeting with National Unity Government yet, nor has a plan to be part of the Spring Revolution, said the spokesperson of the Union League of Arakan/ AA Khine Thu Kha during the AA’s press conference held on April 5.
The spokesperson said: “We did not meet with the NGU officially. Since no official meeting has been conducted, there is nothing to say regarding this.”
The NUG demanded to have an informal talk with the ULA/AA recently.
Arakan Army has not sure yet to meet the NUG’s request as it will be decided by its central committee meeting.
Regarding the question of whether the Arakan Army is becoming a part of the Spring Revolution, Khine Thu Kha said: “The AA is making efforts with a consistent emphasis on the ideology of ‘Way of Rakhita’ – Rakhine nationalism philosophy. We have already achieved more than half of the road to our destination. We have no agenda to derail from our primary objectives.”
Nevertheless, Khine Thu Kha added that whoever or whatever organizations struggling to eliminate the military junta have already earned their sympathy and acknowledgment. NUG, PDF, and especially citizens from mainland Myanmar are also highly appreciated by them.
