Arakan Front Party (AFP) suggested the ASEAN Special Envoy Prak Sokhon urge the State Administration Council to release Aung San Suu Kyi to be involved in building the new nation.

The special envoy to Myanmar met with seven political parties at the Lotte Hotel in Yangon on July 2.

The special envoy met with representatives of the Union Solidarity and Development Party, Pa-O National Organization, Zomi National Congress Party, Ta-ang National Party, Arakan National Party, Arakan Front Party, and New Mon State Party.

Dr. Aye Maung, chairman of the Arakan Front Party discussed all-inclusive in both the current political crisis and peace invitation with the ethnic armed forces.

Dr. Aye Maung discussed role of Aung San Suu Kyi in drafting a new constitution or resolving current conflicts.

“People were killed in bloodshed by the members of PDF affiliated by NLD/NUG/CRPH; they were killed too. Therefore, the ASEAN envoy should study what stance Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is taking. If she is willing to resolve peacefully the current crisis, and if she believes in no bloodshed course, then she the current conflicts can be terminated to a half,” said Dr. Aye Maung urging the Special Envoy to encourage the SAC to grant amnesty for Suu Kyi.

Prak Sokhon reportedly told that ceasefire is the first step to resolving the current crisis.
