Peace Process Steering Team (PPST) stated in its statement that the meeting of the ASEAN special envoy and seven ethnic armed forces is the initial phase to settle current political crisis in Myanmar.
The PPST released this statement after its two-day meeting in which situations related to current politics, military affairs, peace process, and humanitarian aid were discussed.
The PPST makes steadfast efforts to have an all-inclusive dialogue and to resolve the current political crisis, as expressed in its statement.
Building a political atmosphere in which political crisis is settled through political means and protecting civilians will be prioritized, the statement says.
