Rakhine leader urges to ease potential military tensions in Rakhine State

Rakhine's ethnic political figure called for loosening military tension of possibility and urged the Tatmadaw and the Arakan Army to make a compromise.
Analysis says reoccurrence of fire clashes within the state with potentiality.
“No matter what we call a war or whatsoever, it rises from political discrepancy as the stakeholders couldn’t resolve in peaceful dialogue. That means armed conflict will be settled if it can be resolved politically. Therefore, we demand both sides negotiate,” Dr. Aye Maung said.
In recent months in Rakhine State, AA troops kidnapped Tatmadawmen and vice versa Tatmadaw conducted strict inspection processes within Rakhine State.
In a couple of weeks ago, the AA troop which took a foothold in Kayin State border area was attacked in an air strike by the Tatmadaw air forces, in which six AA members died.
On July 18, the AA troops abducted 14 after it attacked a security camp of the Tatmadaw located in Maungdaw.
“When troop members are arrested, the entity usually practices as per its rules and disciplines of the organization. If the war prisoners aren’t killed, they will be released when negotiation is made,” he remarked.
Arakan Front Party encouraged relaxing tensions between both sides by exchanging prisoners respectively.
Situations are being watched, Thar Hla Tun, chairman of the Arakan National Party commented with regard to the military tension between AA and the Tatmadaw.
