Attackers against Maternal and Child hospital arrested; one medical doctor included

Five out of nine terrorists who attacked Moe Kaung Treasure Maternal and Child Hospital with the rocket launcher on July 21 at an estimated 9 pm were arrested by authorities on August 4, according to the statement by State Administration Council.
The terror attack was plotted by nine members who have attended onsite terrorist training camps at the KNLA’s Brigade 1 territory.
Amongst, one terrorist is a medical doctor named Paing Pyae Phyo. Authorities seized nine rocket launchers, nine bomb fuses, one Sig Sauer pistol, two ammunition storages, one Glock pistol, two ammunition storages, 75 bullets of the point-380 gun, 50 bullets of 9 MM, one silencer, and four packs of fertilizer that is used for firing explosives in the bomb at his home.
The plot was masterminded by Saw Chan Hein Htet who is still in the KNLA territory, the statement said.
The group also committed other bomb attacks in Yangon in February 2022.
On February 1, the Myanmar Gi Gi factory located in Shwepyithar; on February 19, a security outpost located in North Dagon and a charity organization from Shwepyithar were attacked by bombs by this terrorist group led by Saw Chan Hein Htet who is escaped in KNLA territory.
