Death toll rising from Covid-19 within September in Myanmar

Mortality continues on daily basis from Coronavirus infections in Myanmar since September 18, 2022, according to the statistics released by the Ministry of Health.

From September 1 to 24, there were 5,912 new confirmed cases; amongst, 17 died, according to the health ministry.

The death rate was two per day on September 18, 19, 20, and 24; and one per day on September 1, 4, 5, 6, 13, 14, 21, 22, and 23.

There were 145 expired cases from January 28 to September 24.

Amongst, 97 cases (70 percent) of the mortality are the patients with chronic diseases in the cardiac, liver, kidney and lungs including cancer, diabetes, and hypertension, according to the ministry.

79.4 percent of the mortality were those who were not vaccinated at all; 18.6 percent received full dose; two percent received booster vaccination; the ministry announced.
