Wa, Mongla and SSPP hold second-round peace talks in NPT

Wa group UWSA (United Wa State Army), Mongla group NDAA (National Democratic Alliance Army) and SSPP (Shan State Progressive Party) appeared in Naypyidaw to hold second-round peace talks with Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

Delegations led by UWSP vice-chairman Lau Yaku, NDAA vice-chairman San Pae and SSPP vice-chairman Sao Khae Taine arrived in Naypyidaw on September 25.

This time talk is a second-round talk with the State Administration Council (SAC) and three EAOs. In the first-round talk, the SAC met with the EAOs in separate sessions.

In recent days, top leaders of the members of Federal Political Negotiation and Consultative Committee (FPNCC) met and discussed in Wa territory.

The FPNCC is organized by the UWSA, NDAA, MNDAA, KIA, SSP, TNLA and AA.

Currently, clashes occur between Tatmadaw and AA, and Tatmadaw and KIA.
