A part of the terror shooting at Kyaiktiyo Pagoda’s Kinpun base camp was released this morning, two days after the incident happened.

In the CCTV record, pilgrims were getting on the passenger truck to get to Kyaiktiyo Mountain. At the time, an unexpected gun shooting attacked the pilgrims. A woman in her middle age fell down immediately by the gunshot, lay in the blood, and died at the scene. A boy beside her was fortunately secured as he was shielded by the woman.

Before the CCTV footage reveals, Thadon PDF demanded to release of the CCTV record.

KNU/KNLA and its affiliated PDF troops are moving around Kyaikhto township and surrounding villages.

The National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) strongly condemned this terror attack at a pilgrimage site with a crowded population during a religious holiday. The NSPNC said the committed forces which were moving under the control of the KNU/KNLA has to be taken severe action as per Section 3 of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement since the KNU/KNLA is one of the NCA-signatory group.
