Clashes occurred between Tatmadaw, KIA/PDF in Sagaing

Clashes occurred between Tatmadaw and joint forces of #KIA insurgents and #PDF terrorists on November 28 at an estimated 9:40 am in Tigyaing Township, #Sagaing Region, according to the statement released by the State Administration Council (SAC).

Villagers from Aletaw Village located in Tigyaing Township secretly informed the authorities that the insurgents and terrorists were committing terror acts at Laltaw village, Tigyaing township.

As per the public report, the Tatmadaw counter-terrorism forces conducted necessary operations. In the incident, the joint forces of KIA insurgents and PDF terrorists opened fire by using both heavy and small weapons. Then, a crossfire occurred. In the way of retreating to the west of the village, the terrorists burnt down all civilian houses along their way.

As a result, a total of 250 houses were torched and unroofed.

Similarly, a fire exchange occurred again in Inntain village located in Tigyaing township between Tatmadaw and the KIA/PDFs on November 30 at an estimated 9:20 am, according to the statement.

The terrorists retreated to the southwest of the village and left arson of the houses along their way from Inntain village to Laytharkone village during the fire exchange with the Tatmadaw. A total of 108 houses were destroyed in the terror incineration by the terrorists.

The statement expresses that the terrorist PDFs affiliated with the NUG/CRPH committed terrorist acts that are targeting public buildings, schools, houses, bridges, and other public transportation routes for deteriorating regional peace and stability.

A total of 513 houses in Sagaing region, 28 houses in Magwe region, 220 in Chin State, and 30 in Kachin State were torched and torn down by the allied forces of KIA and terrorist PDFs within 2022.
