The Myanmar nationals who reject the recent United Nations Security Council’s resolution, which was initiated by Britain, the former colony ruler over Myanmar, dissented in front of the British Embassy on Yangon’s Strand Road this afternoon at an estimated 1 pm.
The protesters highlighted “Object the UNSC’s resolution”, “Stop terrorism by NUG/PDF” and “We don’t accept terrorists NUG/PDF” in their protest cards.
The Southeast Asian Country, Myanmar and her indigenous ethnics were spoiled in history and national characteristics by the British colonists’ divide and rule policy back in many a century.
The protestors staged other peaceful demonstrations before the United States Embassy this morning at around 10 am; and outside the United Nations office at around 2 pm located in Yangon.
The protests were staged by the Myanmar nationalists based in Yangon who reject the external interventions in Myanmar’s internal problem as they believe that the Britain-initiated UNSC’s resolution on Myanmar provokes or even humiliates Myanmar’s sovereignty.
“They don’t shout or yell in the protest but only held the protest cards. It was a really peaceful and silent demonstration. In fact, they seem just wanted to show they don't accept unjust and terrorism,” a person passerby recounted NP News.
