PDF terrorists use Buddhists’ holy items in carrying bombs

The State Administration Council released a press statement, on January 1, of seizure of 16 #PDF_terrorists with explosive devices in Mandalay on the New Year Eve before their designated terror plots were carried through.
The terrorists conveyed bombs and grenades in the basket, which the Buddhists use to pack the holy items of #Buddhist monks when they offer the ritual objects. The latest arising terrorist group in Myanmar (PDFs) is getting sham as the Buddhist monks to deceive; and is an obnoxious effort of disfiguring the Buddhism prestige.
According to the statement, a total of 16 PDF terrorists (14 males and 2 females) were captured with explosive devices (11 remote mines, four handmade bombs and two foreign made grenades) on the New Year Eve evening and January 1, 2023 before dawn in Mandalay as the authorities got terrorism leads from the citizens and residents who just wanted to prevent the awful plots in Mandalay.
There were eight designated places to commit the terror plots; were involving the follows: an administration office of a residential ward located between 22 x 87 streets in Aung Myay Thar San Township; No. 4 Police Department located in 80 x 9 streets; Kat Kyaw Pagoda and Taungthaman Lake located in Amarapura; Yadanabon Zoo in Aung Myay Thar San and the public sites standing on the bank of the Mandalay Moat; Ocean Center in Chan Mya Thar Si; and Mandalar Thiri Football Stadium in Chan Aye Thar San where the New Year Countdown was planned to celebrate.
In seizure operations by the Military, two members of Mandalay Young Force (MYG) known as Kyaw Min Khant and Hein Htet Aung were captured together with five remote mines on December 31 evening between 48 x 49 streets and 106 x 107 streets in Aungtharyar residential ward located in Chan Mya Thar Si Township.
As per the confession statement made by them, other MYG members including Yamin Ko, Aung Htet Kyaw and Ye Thu San were captured in Mantan residential ward in Amarapura Township; and Anatetaw residential ward in Aung Myay Thar San Township respectively as well on December 31 evening.
As per the confession made by Aung Htet Kyaw, authorities found out that bombs, grenades and explosive devices were covered in a basket of holy items of Buddhist monks. The basket had been sent from Sagaing Region to a monastery located in Chan Aye Thar San Township. A quasi-Buddhist monk known as Aye Ko was captured together with the basket in which six handmade bombs and four grenades.
As per the confession made by Aung Htet Kyaw and Kyaw Min Khant, other MYF terrorists namely Htet Aung Lin, Lin Lin, Moe Myint Thu, Nay Thurein, Hlaing Myo Win, Yan Paing Tun, Ant Hpone Khant and Saw Kar Kar were seized with two foreign made grenades. Again on January 1, 2023 before dawn, Thar Htet Khant and Myo Thu Aung were captured in Maha Aung Myay Township and Chan Mya Thar Si Township.
The Myanmar military’s counter-terrorism forces could prevent horrible potential terror plots on the New Year Eve and no terror act has been reported on the New Year night.
