Russian FM highlights SEA and Asia-Pacific regional affairs in his congratulatory message to Myanmar

The Foreign Minister of Russian Federation #Sergey_Lavrov sent the congratulatory message for honouring the 75th Anniversary of Myanmar’s Independence Day that falls on January 4, 2023.
He highlights maintaining peace and security in South East Asia and the Asia-Pacific Region as a whole is convinced by strengthening multifaceted cooperation meets the core interests of the peoples of the two countries.
“We are satisfied to note the positive dynamics of Russia-Myanmar relations, which are characterized by traditional friendship and mutual understanding. We look forward to consistently promoting confident political dialogue and contacts between our foreign ministries under the agreements reached during our talks in Naypyidaw in August 2022,” he mentioned in the letter.
The Russian FM and the Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Wunna Maung Lwin met in person in Naypyidaw in August 2022.
