Yauk Ta Wah Chaung Bridge exploded in Kayin State

The State Administration Council released the news that the Yauk Ta Wah Chaung bridge in Kayin State exploded.

The news was released on 17th January.

At an estimated 10 am on 17th January, the mine exploded in Thandaunggyi Township in Kayin State.

The SAC said that the #terrorists sabotaged the Yauk Ta Wah Chaung bridge by planting the mine. The bridge is connecting Tha Byay Nyunt-Mote Ti Myaung-Zinn Taing villages within Thandaunggyi Township.

Due to the explosion, the bridge collapsed and passengers and vehicles cannot pass from there. The bridge is 270 feet long and 12 feet wide with a height of 15 feet.

Currently, the exploded bridge is under maintenance and repair work.

As per the press announcement, the security forces are conducting necessary investigations to be able to take action on these terrorists who committed the sabotage.
