Shanni ethnic ex-candidate shot dead at a close range

A former candidate from #Shanni Solidarity Party (SSP) was shot in close range on January 24 at an estimate 8 pm in Mohnyin township, Kachin State.
The victim was identified a former male electoral candidate representing the SSP (Shanni Solidarity Party) namely Tin Nyunt who run in the 2020 election, as per information.
“He lives in Nan Mar town. This morning, he was shot from back in close range while he was going into the teashop. The guy shot at his head. He died at that place,” the resident in Monnyin, a member of SSP central committee confirmed NP News.
Two men with motorcycle involved in the assassination, he continued.
The victim was reportedly assisting in the operation of taking on-ground population statistics.
