Yangon exhibits country’s assets at People’s Square and Park

YANGON - An exhibition of both tangible and intangible assets of Myanmar is on public view at the People’s Square and Park in Yangon honouring the 76th #Myanmar_Union_Day with more than 400 booths in the event.

The booths include shops and displays representing states and regions, ministries and selling goods and souvenirs of typical features of the respective state/region; and food stalls from where traditional cuisines and foodstuff of the characteristics of states/regions are available.

The exhibition is held from 10th February to 14th.

As tomorrow (February 12) will mark the 76th Union Day of the country, aim of the exhibition is quite clear that depicting the unity, strength and togetherness of the Union and citizens: tribes, ethnicities and cohesion among them.

Visitors can see major tour destinations of 14 states and regions, and the Naypyidaw Union Territory on the layout displays.

Since the country covers an area of 677,000 square kilometers (261,228 square miles) ranging 936 kilometers (581 miles) from the east to west and 2051 kilometers (1275 miles) from north to south, it possesses bunches of natural scenes from beaches, islands, hills, lakes, rivers, minerals mines and national parks to frozen mountains from south to north.

The Ministry of Hotel and Tourism displays such intangible resources of the country in regard of promoting tourism at the event cooperating with the businesspersons, other ministries and departments.

Last but not least, tight security is deployed there for a hundred percent of safety at the event.
