13 abducted civilians including school teacher, engineer and a veteran rescued by military

It is reported that thirteen civilians including school teacher, engineer and a retired Major who were abducted by the PDFs and were locked inside the house were rescued today by the #Myanmar_Military.

They were arrested in Pulaw Township in Tanintharyi Region.

“Inside a locked house in Padae Village in Pulaw Township, the Myanmar Military could rescue these abducted civilians around 10:30 am on 16th February,” personnel from Tanintharyi Region Government told NP News.

He continued saying that “The Military rescued altogether 13 civilians. They are being detained in Padae Village. The rescue work was accomplished round about 10:30 am. Upon the information of the abduction, the Military used guerilla tactics to deal with the operation. Also, crossfires occurred during the mission. However, there was no injury or casualties.”

The responsible personal also added “Among those who were detained, there include the son of the senior officer from Irrigation Department and the sons and daughters of police force officers. They locked them down inside a house of Padae Village”.

These thirteen abducted civilians have been captured by PDF since 2022.

For the time being, the State Administration Council imposed Martial Law in Pulaw Township and Tanintharyi Township in Tanintharyi region.

In recent days, in Palaut Township in Pulaw, seven members of a family of Nyaung Shin Kone village administrator including one year old child were brutally shot down and assassinated by the PDF terrorists.
