Khit/Myo Gyi (NP News) – April 4
The Restoration Council of the Shan State (#RCSS) led by the General #Yawd_Serk stated that the RCSS won’t be involved in the ongoing conflict between Tatmadaw and PDF terrorists.
The RCSS/SSA notified it on April 3 through their social media page.
The RCSS denied the recent accusation of the Inle PDF that the RCSS/SSA is getting involved in the clashes; and disclosed that it won’t take part from any side in the complicated battles happening in Southern Shan State between Tatmadaw and the PDF terrorists.
What is more, the RCSS/SSA also condemned the happening of extrajudicial killings subjected to the indigenous ethnics in Southern Shan State (which committed by the PDF terrorists).
The RCSS/SSA’s current political stance is following the NCA path; conducting the dialogue culture in the political sphere. The RCSS statement also notified that signing the NCA by it wasn’t intent to get business or economic privileges.
“The RCSS/SSA believes that the political conflicts can be resolved only through the political means,” stated in its statement.
The Restoration Council of the Shan State/ Shan State Army (RCSS/SSA) joins the peace talk invited by the Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing; and is currently participating in the leading role of the NCA-S-EAOs (seven EAOs of NCA signatory) that has been discussing with the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) appointed by the SAC.
