Land Mine Attack at Two Passenger Cars on Expressway of Myeik-Thanintharyi Injuring Four

According to the news source closed to the security forces, PDF terrorists attacked at two passenger trucks on Myeik-Thanintharyi highway by land mines and the attack has left at least four civilians injured.

The attack took place at (33/3) mile between Za Wae village and Latha Village on the expressway of Myeik-Thanintharyi on May 7 around 4:00 pm.

Driving from Mawdaung to Myeik, the passenger vehicle carrying altogether 12 males and 3 females including the driver was attacked by five PDF terrorists with a handmade land mine.

“It’s car running from Myeik to Mawdaung. There were lots of mines. Some remain still unexploded. 3 males and 1 female were wounded,” the above news source confirmed to NP News.

At present, the injured civilians are at Myeik People’s Hospital for the medical treatment and the security forces have conducted necessary security investigations and found other unexploded mines around the area.
