Terrorist Acts Drive Civilians Considering To Equip With Firearms Under License

The State Administration Council urges the public to apply for the license to own arms and ammunition which they are holding due to their personal security which is under the threat of terrorist attacks.
The State Administration Council released the announcement on 9th May.
“Recently, the ruthless terrorists have been committing inhumane assassinations and extrajudicial killings towards the innocent civilians. That leads to people illegal carrying of arms and ammunition for their personal security concerns.” the SAC said.
Since holding guns and ammunitions may lead to unforeseen threats although the original intention was for personal security and protection, the government encourages those who own the guns and ammunitions at the time being to apply for license.
Holding guns and firearms without license shall be charged, the SAC announced.
Starting from 2021 February, many retired military personnel, police officers, public service personnel and innocent civilians were assassinated and were put under ruthless inhumane extrajudicial killings by the PDF terrorists.
Moreover, there were many incidents that jewelry shops in towns and banks were robbed. Therefore, for the sake of the safety of life and properties, people are now starting to consider the possession of arms and ammunitions to self-defense.
