Myanmar talks with Russia, China, India and Thai on peace process

The Myanmar delegation led by Lt-Gen Yar Pyae held a sideline meeting with the delegates from Russia Federation, China, India and Thailand relating to the progress on peace processes after the plenary meeting of the 11th International Meeting of High-Ranking Officials Responsible for Security Matters, according to the information released by the State Administration Council.
The 11th International Meeting of High-Ranking Officials Responsible for Security Matters was held on 24th and 25th May in Russia.
At the meeting on 24th May, the delegation exchanged views on bilateral cooperations and Myanmar’s peace process with the leader of the Thai delegation Deputy-Secretary General of the Thai Security Council Mr Ruchakorn Napapornpipat Secretary of Russia Security Council Mr Nikolay Patrushev, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Secretary of the Central Secretariat and Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Committee Mr Chen Wenqing.
On 25th May, Lt. Gen. Yar Pyae also attended the bilateral meeting with the leader of the Indian delegation Deputy National Security Adviser Mr Rajinder Khanna and exchanged views on Myanmar-India friendship, peace and stability along the Myanmar-India border and progresses in the peace processes of Myanmar.
The Myanmar delegation led by Lt-Gen Yar Pyae also participated in the 3rd ASEAN-Russia Consultations of the High Representatives for Security Issues on 24th May.
During the meeting, they engaged in a comprehensive dialogue relating to the strategic peace and tranquility, specifically analyzing their impact on the security landscape of the Asia-Pacific regions.
These discussions encompassed a wide range of topics, including the crucial aspects of arm control and prevention, as well as the exchange of relevant information concerning the political and security issues which can impact on the Asia-Pacific regions. They also discussed on the growing tension among powerful countries and potential responses to conventional and non-conventional security challenges.
Deputy Minister for Home Affairs Chief of Myanmar Police Force Maj-Gen Zin Min Htet met with Deputy Home Affairs Minister of Russia Mr I N Zubov on 25 May and they discussed bilateral cooperation on combatting drug cases.
