Trade networks expanded from Myanmar-China Trade Fair

Myanmar entrepreneurs had opportunities to expand their business networks in the international community through previously held Myanmar-China Trade Fair.
The Myanmar-China Trade Fair was held at Myanmar International Convention Centre - 2 from May 25 to 28 in Naypyidaw. Company representatives, entrepreneurs, merchants and other interested attendees attended the event.
The participants discussed for cooperation in respective business area and trading; and memorandums and trade agreements were signed at the event.
Similarly, nine trade agreements have attained and signed between 17 companies from both countries on May 26.
Director of the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organizations, Dr. Thet Lwin Oo, told that much foreign currency has been generated from the event. In addition, technological exchange and market expansion have also been made through the event.
“It has been a long time that we couldn’t hold this kind of event in Myanmar. Now, we hold this trade fair to where many Chinese entrepreneurs not only from Yunnan Province attended. Therefore, we have to arrange accommodations for them, and from which, foreign incomes were generated during the event. Other benefits like business networks were also connected,” Dr. Thet Lwin Oo said.
It is reported that 40 booths of 70 companies of Chinese entrepreneurs, and 79 booths of 65 companies and business associations from Myanmar participated in the exhibition.
