Myanmar welcomes travelers from China (Jilin City) for promoting the country’s travel and tourism under the cooperation of Myanmar-China, the General Secretary of the Myanmar Tourism Federation, Kyi Thein Ko said.
The General Secretary said as abovementioned during the interview with the news media at the Conference of China (Jilin City)-Myanmar Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion held at the Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce today (on July 25).
During the conference, officers from China (Jilin City) signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Myanmar officials for cooperation in promoting mutual tourism destinations.
He said, “Today, as for us, we will focus on matters related to the tourism sector. Many visitors from China also entered Myanmar before the Covid-19 period previously this delegation (Jilin). The tourism sector was resumed and now they all come back traveling so we welcome them so as to promote our travel and tourism sector.”
Moreover, the Conference intends to create a future cooperation in business and trade for mutual benefit between Myanmar and China (Jilin City).
The Chinese delegation led by the Secretary of the CPC Jilin City Municipal Committee, Mr. Hu Bin and the Myanmar delegation led by the Secretary General of Tourism Federation, Kyi Thein Ko attended the conference.
