28 MNDAA members return to legal fold

On September 29th, the State Administration Council announced that 28 members of the ethnic armed organization MNDAA had re-entered the legal framework, bringing their ammunition with them.

It is reported that 20 male and 8 female members of the MNDAA have voluntarily returned into the legal fold, expressing their desire to live peacefully under the protection of the law in the ongoing peace process led by the Tatmadaw.

The accepting ceremony for the returning MNDAA members was held at the Laukkai local station on September 29th.

During the ceremony, they handed over 12 assorted small weapons, 12 different magazines, 217 rounds of ammunition, and 5 hand grenades to the authorities, who in turn provided them with financial support and other items.

The State Administration Council (SAC) also announced that, recently, 9 PDF members from Mandalay Region and 2 PDF members from Shan State have likewise returned into the legal fold in recent days.

The SAC announced that they have been welcoming those who return to the legal fold and they are also providing assistance to those who would like to return to the legal fold. They can contact to respective District and Township Administrative Department and police and military bases if they want to return to legal fold.
